Low Dose Allergen Therapy (LDA)
LDA is a safe, proven, cost effective method of allergy therapy that uses extremely
small doses of allergens, along with an enzyme called beta glucuronidase. B. glucuronidase
is a natural substance produced by our bodies. This enzyme potentiates the effects
of the allergens, which is what enables such small concentrations to be used.
One result is that the therapy is extremely safe, with no major side effects ever
recorded.
LDA works unlike any other allergy therapy. LDA actually reprograms the immune
system by its effect on T-lymphocytes, which is a type of white blood cell. Initial
shots usually produce a short-term decrease in allergies. However, the therapy
is accumulative, and after several shots, the effects last much longer. Further
shots are given only when symptoms return, with the minimum time between shots
being 3 months. Most people will no longer need the therapy after 15-20 shots.
Unlike most allergy therapy, LDA covers nearly all type of allergies, not just
inhalants (dust, molds, etc.). In addition, LDA treats food, chemical, and other
allergies. But, LDA is much more than just an “allergy therapy”. It
is effective in all autoimmune disorders, as its major effect is to normalize
immune system function. Therefore, it is effective in such conditions as rheumatoid
arthritis, lupus, thyroid disorders (Hashimoto’s), ADHD, Irritable Bowel
Syndrome, Crohn’s Disease, migraines, fatigue, myalgia, some forms of osteoarthritis,
autism, and any other condition that has features of immune dysfunction.
